Get to Know the Pantukhir Test in TNI (Indonesia National Armed Forces) Selection

In the military world, or in TNI, also Polri (Indonesian National Police) we often hear the word Pantukhir

Pantukhir is an abbreviation for Panitia Penentuan Akhir (Final Decision Committee).

TNI’s commander, General Andika Perkasa directly led the Pantukhir Ceremony of TNI’s Career Officer candidates Year 2021.

The Pantukhir Ceremony for the candidates of TNI AD, TNI AL, and TNI AU was held in Lily Rochi Building, the Military Academy, Magelang.

During the Pantukhir Ceremony, TNI (regular) Officer candidates were waiting with their heart pounding in separate rooms.

Approximately 60 minutes after the ceremony started, it was decided from the result of the Pantukhir Ceremony, TNI’s Career Officer main selection program (regular) Year 2021.

The total of 268 TNI’s Career Officer candidates passed the Pantukhir test.

From the total numbers, 140 of them are from TNI AD , 45 of them are from TNI AL, and 83 of them are from TNI AU.

Before that, on Wednesday (30/6/2021), TNI held Pantukhir Ceremony, TNI’s Career Officer main selection program (Pa PK), TNI’s Scholarship Students (Mabes), Year 2021, in Satang Mabes TNI hall, Cilangkap, East Jakarta.

Personnel Assistant (Aspers) TNI General Marsda TNI A. Gustaf Brugman, M.Si. (Han) when opening the Pantukhir Ceremony said that in that day they will decide Pa PK TNI Mabes student candidates who will participate in the first education as TNI officer candidate.

TNI General Aspers gave a pressure to the team in order for them to be more careful to anticipate mistakes when examining early data from each student candidates who will participate in the main selection program.

Students who are participating in the selection program are told to prepare themselves as early as possible. That will prepare them for anything that comes during the selection.

Meanwhile, from the results of the Pantukhir Ceremony Pa PK TNI Mabes main selection program Year 2021 is decided that there are the total of 33 students, 15 are from TNI AD (15 males), and 18 from TNI AL (17 males and 1 females).

About Pantukhir

Like any other fields, there are several stages to be an officer of TNI or Polri

There are written test, physical test, psychological test, and interview.

However, in TNI/Polri, and other Government institutions the candidates have to go through Pantukhir or Penentuan Tahap Akhir.

Pantukhir is aimed to monitor the development of the candidates before getting accepted into the Government-Affiliated School.

Some said that Pantukhir is basically just a final eligibility test.

Some also said that it is held because the student quota is limited.

It could be that there are students who passed the previous tests but because of the limited quota, they will be selected more strictly in this Pantukhir test.

In this Pantukhir test, the candidates are only tasked to march and the committee will score their performance. The scores will be ranked and candidates with the lowest scores will be eliminated.

Other explanation, Pantukhir test is a form of a test that meets all of the committee (administration, physical, psychological, ideology mental) with the candidates.

The goal is to see the suitability of the Assessment/Test Results of each field (written data) with the Physical form of each Selection/Test Participant.

There are many candidates who failed the test.

Because of that, anyone who are participating the Government-Affiliated entry test has to know the process of the selection and about the Pantukhir in the school.

Participants are also encouraged to ask a lot of questions and ask for advices from their seniors who had participated in tests like this.

In conclusion, Pantukhir needs to be considered important for participants, including candidates for TNI or Polri.
